His Senate run in 1992 went nowhere and he seems to be more or less retired, for what that's worth. His asshole buddy Bob Dornan's still a Representative for Orange County, though.

His excuse is that he was trying to push legislation that would round up gay people and put them in "quarantine." So he lied about AIDS.

I was probably about the same age and scared shitless of AIDS.

When I was in 4th grade my teacher told us how homosexuals put dirty needles in movie seats to give you AIDS.

I remember when I was a kid there was this gay rights march called "the Wedding" that made the news. My dad saw it and said "could you imagine me laying my head on some MAN?" Many many years later when he found out I was gay, he said "that's okay so long as you don't fuck a nigger."
