Although I like BOC, I wouldnt say they are better than Sabbath. I dont see them in the same category. Sabbath has that darker, heavier je ne sais quoi. BOC has a lot of keys and a more pop like element. I will say that Dont Fear the Reaper and Burnin for You are 2 of my favorite songs ever though.

To answer my own question, I'd say they're about equal musically, but the Ozzy factor puts Sabbath ahead.

Alan Lanier is the trump card in this situation

I'm going with Sabbath.

Sabbath is timeless.

BOC was a product of its times.
