I remember reading the magazine in which they featured Kiss Psycho Circus and I recall taking one look at it and figuring it to be a really terrible Q3a mod.
Still there were some pretty decent games out around that time, I for one really enjoyed Messiah, in spite of the bad rap it got.
I mean you had the interesting premise of being able to possess random individuals in order to help you solve various puzzles, and failing that you got to see grown adults freaking out and beating the shit out of a kid in diapers.
