I really like 2, but I honestly think it's way better with a gamepad. My biggest problem with the first one was that you spent a lot of time hitting the left mouse button for each attack since their combat system was kind of stuck between something you'd expect from an MMO and an action game. This time around, they went straight up action game, and it's better for it.

Some PC purists no doubt argue it was 'consolefied' or whatever because it plays so much better on a gamepad than mouse/keyboard, but personally, I love it. I think that combat system is way more fun than what you'd normally see in an MMO or dialblo-style game.

Because that block of text wasn't long enough, just though I'd add that I found it way more enjoyable than Dragon Age 2's lazy plot, repetive combat, and lazily repeated locations.

Possibly. If the combat was the only thing you hated, I'd say give it a chance, as combat is really revamped.

Everything else is similar to the first, in terms of area design, story, choice and consequence, sex, etc, so if you hated all of that, you probably won't think 2 is much better.
