You never played it? Its Silent Hill on the snes. There is a english patch to the japanese rom on the internet, I've played through it, very fun, many ways to die.
Not a big fan of his puzzle gaming. But, at least this one had a scary element that made the episode fresher than the Solomon Key one.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some The Kacho, but the only thing that kept me from giving a lower rating was the fact that this game looks really fucking fun to play, albeit frustrating.
Capcom owns the rights, and made a spiritual sequel called Haunting Ground. Quite good too, sadly it came out during the Resident Evil 4 days, and nobody wants to play real horror games in consoles anymore.
I played through 2/3rds on an emulator and it started to glitch badly. Could be worth another shot one day if it were on Virtual Console . A handheld port would be smashing!
Did yu play it in Japanese, or is there a translated version I'm missing? I've had a copy of this game sitting around for ages, and I've wanted to play the hell out of it, but my Japanese is limited to porn words and handy airport phrases involving ham smuggling.
