Wait... wasn't Maggie's first adventure her socialist revolution against the "Ayn Rand School for Tots", where she liberated the suckers and distributed them to all?

Actually if the current Simpsons writers had never seen the early episodes, it would explain a lot. Like the ability to sleep at night.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2011-07-22
Actually this doesn't bother me.

If I saw the whole episode and thus the context this was in though, I probably would.
Toenails - 2011-07-22
Here's the spoil: It's a Treehouse of Horror episode.

This is why the billboard on the building is for MacBeth starring Homer. It was one of the previous acts.

Yes, they are running out of ideas.

Yes, I still watch the show.

@Rach_and_Roll

Bro, are you mad at something? I'm not trying to confront or call you out, but you seem to be down-voting a lot of videos in the hopper and phantom one-starring.

I'm not saying you aren't aloud to do that, but usually the people that do that are either trolls or pissed off at something.

Xenocide - 2011-07-22
I remember that the Macbeth bit was actually pretty damn good. But it was only like five minutes long, and the rest of the episode just sat there, hating its own existence.

Rach_and_Roll - 2011-07-23
Hey Toenails,

I just like to five-star things I enjoy and one-star things I don't like. I'm not really adept at leaving comments, so I generally don't do so. If there's one thing I've learned from the internet, it is that it is better for me to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open my mouth and
remove all doubt. Anyway, I've just seen a lot of Rand and religious related posts, and I don't really like 'em just for the sake of seeing so many of them. I mean, hate isn't the opposite of love - apathy is. That being said, I'm not a troll, nor am I butthurt. Bro, I ain't even mad.

Bach_and_Troll, Lurking is cool. I use to lurk until I got fed up with the liberal bias here and needed to speak up. Maybe someday something will inspire you to join the chat here.

I know this is pretty late as a response, so I doubt anyone will read this. But I hear you and I wasn't trying to confront you.

It's just that there was there was a guy who pretty much lost his shit over Beavis and Butthead videos making it to the front page. He started one-starring the videos and took it pretty personally when more Beavis and Butthead made it to the front page. Long story short, he was ultimately banned.

I only said anything because I didn't want another guy to get banned over a stupid video.

@ Cap'n Toenails:

Actually, I think I'll just hang out in 73Q. I don't think I'm a right fit for poetv. Our views don't quite line up, I suppose. Whatever it is, it doesn't matter. After all, I'm just text with a not-so-punny name on a page that no one will probably see again. I know that I'm going to regret saying this, but please remember that there are intelligent and kind people who follow some kind of religion, sane people who aren't liberal, and smart people in the south. In the end, it doesn't matter what creed we follow or which politician we support come election time. In the end, it is our humanity that defines us.

Although, I don't have to tell you this - you're smart enough not to succumb to stereotypes. For that, I thank you. Have a great life, y'all.

P.S. Is it uncouth to post music like Mahler on 73Q? I want to make sure that I'm following proper etiquette.

BABIES DONT TALK LIKE THAT!!!
Riskbreaker - 2011-07-23
I don't get it, there are no jokes anymore, why is this show going?
Caminante Nocturno - 2011-07-23
Like South Park, this show stopped being worth watching a long time ago, but I don't think people can imagine a world where they aren't on the air.

Innocent Bystander - 2011-07-23
Whatever it is, it ain't funny.
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-07-23
I don't even know how to star this after reading this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Great_Women_and_a_Manicure
Apparently this was a loving homage to the Fountainhead. Ew.

The Simpsons has died. Long live the Simpsons.
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-07-23
I don't know how I made that in bold...

fatatty - 2011-07-23
I'm inspired by your ability to fight the stifling conformity of the socialist poeTV by writing your words in bold. It's sad that you will inevitably be crushed by the powerful bureaucratic forces hanging over your head.

But seriously, fuck Ayn Rand. 5 STARS!

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-07-28
