When I lived in Australia, I went to a driving range and while my dad was paying he pulled out a Canadian penny and gave it to me (he was traveling a lot at this time and had various currencies on him at any given moment). I instantly said "They have the Queen on their money? That's stupid!" Well, the guy behind the counter took offense to this and snarled "They used to be a commonwealth!" Good times.
