This game is absolutely brutal.

kingofthenothing - 2011-08-13

You said it. I fucking hated this game. Never beat it, got too fed up to return. Now I think they're just trying to see how long it takes for this guy to have a stroke.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-08-13

I never even got to the first boss in this game. It pisses me off how such an incredibly difficult game has such easy bosses.

blue vein steel - 2011-08-13

it's cool when the signature power-up makes the game substantially harder

Jeriko-1 - 2011-08-13

The stage that got me was that auto scrolling ice cave. And of course they give you a fucking skateboard because they hate you. After I died fifty times in there I never touched this piece of shit game again.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2011-08-13

The ending.

augias - 2011-08-13

That poor, poor AD kid who had to finish it.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2011-08-13

Hope he got paid out the ass for that.

Riskbreaker - 2011-08-13

Hopefully they gave him a good night of beer, sushi and hostess girls.

Cyberblah - 2011-08-13

Usually "Should such a game be allowed to exist in this world?" would just be Japanese melodramatic silliness, but here I think the narrator has a point.

Hugo Gorilla - 2011-08-13

I never knew about the Hudson Bee that gave you unlimited continues.

Fuck you, Adveture Island.

Jeriko-1 - 2011-08-13

I had the game three years before I found out. There was like NO WAY you could know it was there without being told. Something like stand near the marker in 1-3 near a bush and hold up and B if I remember right.

That's bullshit.

I am gonna watch Hitler's Revenge again

Jeriko-1 - 2011-08-13

Did they hate him enough to throw Ghosts-N-Goblins at him yet?

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2011-08-13

Second season, episode three.

twinkieafternoon - 2011-08-14

They also threw the Genesis sequel at him, I think.

Mother Lumper - 2011-08-14

Remarkably, Arino beat Ghosts-N-Goblins too.

twinkieafternoon - 2011-08-14

Well, he beat it one time through, but you have to beat it TWICE through to actually beat it (the first time is a dream, or something). He never actually saw the ending. He saw the first stage again and quit.

So, technically, he didn't beat it, because he gave up after realizing it would take another 20 hours to beat it.

fluffy - 2011-08-15

Both quests, no continues, even.

twinkieafternoon - 2011-08-14

I noticed more power-ups hurt you than help you in this game.

jyrque - 2011-08-14

Arino's OCD is often his downfall in platformers. Ninja Gaiden's enemies respawn if you go too far away backwards but chief here really needs to stab every one of those item bulbs from the front if he missed one.

baleen - 2011-08-15

Stars for Japanese wit and inside humor. I don't get to see that much.

deadpan - 2011-08-19

When the creator and star of the game sends you a fax apologizing for the difficulty it might be time to call it a day.
