Hey it's Will Farrell doing the same fucking I'm big and I'm acting like a pompous dumbass shtick he's been doing in everything he's ever been in! Maybe he'll make a sequel to Oldschool next!

Change - 2012-04-01 Being jaded and dull is great and all but Will Farrell really is awful.

Gmork - 2012-04-01 If you can't admit Anchorman is funny, then I have no wish to know you. Comedy doesn't _have_ to be intelligent just because the person watching it could be.
|
Change - 2012-04-01 No, but typically when it's awful, the people who like it are awful.

ashtar. - 2012-04-03 Pft. I only like indie comedy that you guys have probably never heard of. I mean, I liked Will Farrell's early stuff (before he sold out), but that's really hard to get a hold of now.

Guess I just like liking things.
A sequel to Anchorman sounds awful though. I am guessing they will do the classic sequel mistake by doing variations of the same bits from the first movies -- but more XTREME.

StanleyPain - 2012-04-01 Technically, there's already 2 Anchorman films. The original 2-disc version of the DVD contained an entire second movie called "Wake Up, Ron Burgundy" which was created by editing together cut footage and an entire subplot that was removed from the original film. It's actually not bad, and pretty fills the need for an Anchorman sequel. I'm also one of those who thinks Anchorman worked in spite of the people involved with it, not because of. Judd Apatow is shit.

Gmork - 2012-04-02 Seems like every other apatow movie has the same plot as Step Brothers. Talented but unfocused nobodies go through an hour of ad-lib comedy scenes chosen at random, then the main character seems to lose everything but still accomplishes some sort of goal, then flash forward a few months showing him somehow running his own business based on whatever stupid hobby that was showcased in the first 20 minutes of the movie.
