From what I understand, it's about an undercover news woman who infiltrates a company of freegans and ends up drinking the kool aid and falling for their leader's mantra. This trailer and it's editing, however, makes it look like Saw or some similarly stereotypical post-2000s horror film.
None the less, it actually looks pretty well done for a 2 hour movie with a million budget.
Rad things happen at an edit point. Things digitally fray apart; size, color, speed lose stasis. They cut back to the first shot, then forward, then back. Sometimes interdimensional monsters try to squeeze through between the two cuts.
Edit points are fucking awesome, dangerous shit.
The writer/lead actor & the director did a movie called "Sound Of My Voice," which was connected to "Another Earth." Both of these were horrible. The only reasons I can think of that they get to keep making movies are ones that I'm directly privy to: 1) "Sound of my Voice" was funded almost single handedly by a dude that liked "Another Earth" (looks like Ridley Scott's filled his shoes??); and 2) They're genuinely nice people and I feel bad talking shit. Oh well, they'll never know.
I guarantee you one thing: This movie will Not have an ending. Remember my words.
