God, I love the French.

Old_Zircon - 2013-04-26 Back in the 90s a guy I went to high school with spent a couple weeks in Paris and the very first day someone stole his backpack at the airport. When he got home, the thief had shipped the backpack and all its personal contents (clothes, sketchbooks, ID) all the way back to the US, only keeping about 150 francs of cash for himself. He probably spent half of that on shipping.

Old_Zircon - 2013-04-26 It being Russia and all I would have expected him to smash it with a stolen dumptruck and then strip naked and run through the streets in a drunken frenzy with armloads of candy.

Old_Zircon - 2013-04-26 And by "would have expected" I mean "expected."

yogarfield - 2013-04-26 how clever. there is another method of reinforcing a or bill with a bracework of tape and a leash, inserting it into the machine, getting credit for payment, then ripping it out of the bill slot.
|
Old_Zircon - 2013-04-26 Does that still work? I thought new machines could detect the tape .
|
yogarfield - 2013-05-01 not sure, been a few years since i felt like stealing a coke.

Doomstein - 2013-04-26
How much soda and gum would he have to steal with that thing in order to justify the cost of building it?
|
Old_Zircon - 2013-04-26 A few dozen cans? It looks like mostly salvage parts, that's the best thing about it.
