You can keep her. I'm completely fine with blacks batting at .930. Townhall's response to this is to write "5 Decades of Lies has Blacks Voting Democrat." Essentially Republicans treat blacks like brainwashed idiots as opposed to taking any of their concerns seriously, and they pay for it in the polls repeatedly.
This is not helping.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-07-16 Because the Republican party hasn't changed. Oh, wait, you mean Reagan's policies would be considered commie pinko liberalism by today's GOPers? Really?
Seriously, get a clue and go read a book.

baleen - 2013-07-16 "Martin Luther King Jr and Malcom X were both Republicans"
This funny old horse?
Question: Do you believe that the ideologies of Democrats and the Republicans stretch back to their inception completely unchanged? Why do you think that the South is now Republican and the Northeast, once nearly 100% Republican on a district level, has become the inverse? I expect a complete understanding of regional political trends dating back to the early 19th century in your response.

baleen - 2013-07-16 Also answer this: Why did Martin Luther King vote for JFK, why did the Republicans, during Eisenhower's administration, completely drop the ball on the Civil Rights movement? Eisenhower was actually for it, but for political reasons, they left the fight to the New Democrats. And thus began the slow erosion of the shaky New Deal coalition of Southern anti-corporate, racist Democrats and Northern, pro-immigrant, racist, pro-union Democrats. Blacks had to make a choice in the 60's, and they slowly trickled into the New Democratic party.
This is putting things in a pretty tight nutshell, but the meme you are reciting is ahistorical nonsense.
Planned Parenthood WAS founded by rather unpleasant people. Margaret Sanger was a horrible racist and a proponent of eugenics. You are wrong that she founded Planned Parenthood to provide abortions, which she opposed in her lifetime. These days Planned Parenthood provides essential health services to a whole lot of people. There were hospitals around in the 1950's that didn't hire black doctors, whereas Sanger hired black doctors at her clinic in Harlem. Should we abolish those once-racist institutions because their administrations were pro-segregation? Do you not understand that complex institutions change?

baleen - 2013-07-17 I read that Deism is being completely removed from history textbooks and that the fundies were attacking the notion that Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers were Enlightenment thinkers. So, that's what we have to look forward to.

NEXT ON FOX: Sean Hannity's exclusive interview with both of America's black Republicans.
LATER: Misusing the term "genocide" in new and exciting ways! Plus, a panel discussion: Is Michelle Obama's school lunch initiative genocide, worse than 9/11, or both?

baleen - 2013-07-16 I am a frequent reader (unhealthily, obsessively so) of many conservative facebook pages. The things they say about her lunch program are amazing.

This lady was on the News Hour Monday evening talking about how Trayvon Martin had it coming because he fit a suspect description and the law is fine the way it is. Fuck her.

Those horrible Democrats, pushing for more accessible birth control, accurate sex ed, prenatal care, postnatal care, paid maternity leave, affordable child care, Head Start, WIC....all a plot to destroy black children. Not a very effective plot, but somehow, a plot.
