Okay, may I ask this? Who is zerdzer and exactly how racist is he?

I'm all for giving somebody on here the benefit of the doubt, but zerdzer seems to be getting the grunt of the "you're a racist" call outs.

Is he really a bad guy, because goddamn, I would like to think I backed Cena_Mark when nobody else would, yet this guy sounds just fucking awful.

Keep in mind, I haven't been on here for awhile. And things that get too heated, I avoid like the plague. So if somebody says something stupid, I'm blissfully unaware.

Back to the video: it's not enough that some white folks are happy to use the system to mistreat others, they're such big babies that you're not even allowed to call them on it. I get that everyone thinks they're the good guy in their life's story, but come on, beyond a certain point the evidence has to speak for itself. If you're an asshole, be man or woman enough to acknowledge it.

The media tried to ignore it. It wasn't until black people in the media spread the story around and it gained traction on the Internet that they bothered to cover it.

The actual story has very little to do with Zimmerman or the verdict.

Zimmerman was a well known racist that regularly called the police to report black people in his neighborhood. He'd literally report people just driving through. One day he calls, says he's giving chase, and when the police get there he's standing over the kid's dead body with a gun.

Even in situations of very clear cut self defense the person that did the shooting can expect an investigation. In this case, they've got a guy that looks pretty guilty. But they don't run a background check or do a drug test on the shooter. They treat a dead black kid like a criminal and give HIM a background check. They give HIM a drug test. They don't even send a homicide investigator.

They send a fucking narcotics investigator to deal with this case. They fucking correct a witness that says that Trayvon was screaming for help. They fucking took Zimmerman's fucking WORD that he didn't have a police record. They didn't run it. Two days later talking to the fucking family of the dead kid they were still saying he had a clean record. He did have a record. He was lying.

Even if Zimmerman was innocent, and his own goddamned account of the event is pretty clearly manslaughter, but whatever. Even if Martin did decide to randomly attack a white person for no reason (I believe you non-racists call that "chimping out") then it would still be 100% about race.

Nobody's calling the police on white people walking a little too slowly in the rain. And you sure better believe if you shoot a white person that the cops aren't going to take your word for it when you tell them you have a clean record.

I think the President has a right, and honestly an obligation, to bring up race in his presidency and use his position to say things about race as a matter of public record and public debate.

However I am on the side that this trial should not have been turned into the race circus it has become. The media is treating Zimmerman like a black kid hunter which is not what the evidence bore out.

I would much preferred one of the many actual cases of blatant racism emanating from our men in blue (or black these days) to be what we build the discussion about. These are people that represent and carry out one of the clearest examples of institutional racism in this country. A black undercover cop was just shot 28 times by 4 white police officers and left for dead, and nary a word from the race baiting media.

Neighborhood watch accidentally killing a black kid who was beating his face in for asking him what he was doing in his neighborhood? I don't think that's emblematic of much except some people are dumb and make bad choices.

"Neighborhood watch" -- George Zimmerman was strictly self-appointed neighborhood watch, which is to say, nothing.

"accidentally" -- except for the part where Zimmerman deliberately followed Trayvon, deliberately got out of his SUV, and deliberately pulled his gun out and deliberately fired it.

"who was beating his face in" -- in an altercation that Zimmerman provoked, seeing as Trayvon had no other goals that night except to go home with Skittles and iced tea. Additionally, what sort of broken man can't take a 17-year-old kid 50 pounds lighter than him, and considers a fistfight with said teenager a life-or-death situation?

"for asking him what he was doing in his neighborhood" -- you're taking Zimmerman's version of events as verified fact? Really?

"?" -- there is very little question that Zimmerman instigated the fight, was not in legitimate fear for his life, and killed a 17-year-old kid needlessly.
