I do get annoyed when people are texting, calling or taking cellphone videos at shows ("Hey guys, I'm at a show paying no attention to the show itself, where are you guys?"), but in this case it's like open air at a cafe, and everyone seems to be talking anyway. Assuming that woman to his left is his girlfriend, he was probably just calling his homeboy saying "yo bro, they're rockin' the shit out of some Georges Bizet up in this joint! Get your sorry ass on down here and bring some of that shit we had last night!"

Due to the loudness I doubt if it was a conference call. Anyway, still funny.

I'd like to imagine that he was on the phone with his sick daughter, dying of cancer. Those musicians are jerks.

God.. that reminds me of this little corner store I was working at.. the rule was "turn the music up as loud as possible" if anyone in the store is on a cell phone" (it was mostly sorority gals yakity yaking about bullshit) and a girl walks in one day, and I start blasting.. I think it was my co-workers Dwarves CD and then I notice the girl's got tears in her eyes. I immediately turned it off, and we just kind of started at each other blankly while she checked out. No idea what happened, but I can assume it was worse than finding out that Todd was dating Ashley now.

("started" = "stared")

I've actually seen this group before (on youtube). This is kind of their schtick, some playful harassment while they busk. Also they're in a shopping center, not really a concert.

This is in Covent Garden in London, so it's not like he paid for a show, or probably even expected there to be music there.

Still funny, thought.

Oh. Well hell, slap some ASBOs on those musicians for harassing that poor gentlemen. And maybe slap an ASBO on him for being discourteous.

In fully support these folks getting rid of the "show" part of their performance and just roaming the streets doing this to people who are on the phone.

Looks like everyone's having a good time with it.
