I love this ashens video, it's one of my favorites. I'm a mega weeaboo and am so exposed to Japanese stuff that I actually immediately recognized that he was opening pods of plastic toy poop and toilets (yes the "baby carriage" is a squat toilet imo) and waited for the realization to hit him, I've never experienced anything like that before and it was hilarious.
Ashens is funny, and does deserve better than his situation allows, but he's also clearly a bit of a prude and somewhat too settled it seems to really be more than a Youtube star. Part of it is that he's not trained for stardom, because he's a doctor of psychology, and somehow just fell into it. His movie was alright, though.
Okay the only reference I even see to his degree is a sidebar blurb on Wikipedia, which claims he has a PhD in psychology. I wonder if he's ever used it professionally, or how he ended up getting that and decided to become an actor/comedian instead.
