I remember CBC showed this briefly circa 1987, but I swear I remember a different, non-animated intro.

Yeah, the intro I was thinking of was probably the BENNY HILL thing, thanks.

I'm 99% sure I'm correct about SUPERGRAN appearing briefly on CBC, though. Like, I'm not sure I actually ever watched a full episode, I think it was up against various toy commercial cartoons airing in the afterschool slots on US border stations, but I do remember other kids talking about it, mostly derisively.
