So is this show basically an anime ripoff of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, or is this just their attempt to imitate Adams' planet Ursa Minor Beta?
I love Hitchhiker's Guide but it was more fun before the internet decided that any work of fiction which mixed space and humor was somehow ripping it off.
The series, including the episode this clip was culled from, mingles the poignant and the bittersweet into the mix as well as the humor, it's a pleasant mix to say the least.
Oh, so that's what the narrator sounds like in English. Was legitimately curious since the Funimation site only lets me watch the subtitled version (which would be my preference anyway, but I'll at least give the dub a spin when I buy the Blu-Rays).
In Japanese, the narrator is 82-year old Masaki Yajima, probably best known as the Japanese dub voice of William Shatner in both the original STAR TREK and T.J. HOOKER.
