Yeah, I don't get that either. He's a train-spotter but he's unaware that high speed trains can't just suddenly slow down to avoid splattering snow on someone who wouldn't have been visible to the train operator until the train was only a few dozen yards away, by which time it would have been to late to avoid anyway?
