fart

Hooker - 2015-04-17 Yeah, I don't know how much of a technical accomplishment this is or is not, but in terms of Hollywood, this is the Comic-Con crap of movie producers handing out tablescraps and the nerds feverishly devouring it. Nothing kills my interest in the things I like the way watching other people fawn like North Koreans towards glorious leader. Except the Koreans have the dignity of faking it.

SolRo - 2015-04-17 Despite the blogs falling over themselves talking about how "omg it wasn't cgi!!", I imagine the fast moving shot in the trailer actually was cgi

infinite zest - 2015-04-17 I'm sure I'll catch it at some point, hopefully on the company payroll because it seems like a movie my client would want to see, but if not probably bit torrent. I felt the same way about Star Trek. I was like "cool! The last three or four Star Trek movies really sucked.. maybe I'll check it out" and I never did. I've caught most of it when it's randomly on at a bar or something but that's it. I guess that's just my generation. Star Wars in the 70s/80s was huge, but there really wasn't anything like it back then, and for the most part the "clones" weren't very good, with the exception of Krull and Dune (I know, not really "clones" but at least marketed that way.) Now, nearly 40 years of Star Wars' influence and a prequel series that nearly ruined it for everybody could mean that they're going to try too hard, like those commercials you see for Dominos Pizza like "HEY LOOK AT US WE'RE STILL HERE AND WE'RE BETTER NOW, REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS JUST US AND PIZZA HUT?" when competing with myriad pizza places that simply took the formula and decided that they'd do it better. Mmmm. pizza

this video will never get old

infinite zest - 2015-04-17 338 views and counting! At least 38 views of those were mine. Best video on the website IMHO. I watched it at a friend's house. She had to go to the airport early this morning but I would've watched it 38 more, if I didn't have to get to band practice. Be kicking out the jams thinking of this awesome video.

Making another R2D2 isn't the most imaginative move, but a beeping, unintelligible little beach-ball robot at least hints that these movies grasp how Star Wars should be "cute." That's more than the prequels ever did.

It's the collective nerd-gasm that amuses me most. That hall would have to be hosed down.
