I thought it would be a positive description that would encourage people to watch this impressive film. The main character is the very definition of a misandrist (although this is by no means the worst of her problems), but it would take the intelligence of an MRA to think the film was somehow promoting this point of view.
Yeah, MRA tears are the equivalent of a thumbs up. I liked the way the character progresses from self-defense to vigilantism to cold blooded murder in such a gradual way that you have to decide for yourself when it stops being justified.
This movie is great, Zo Lund was great. I wonder what they think of her screenplay for the original Bad Lieutenant. I assume they don't understand it or her enough to even be offended.
1981 NYC where getting raped twice on the way home from work just kinda came with the territory, the new drafthouse films transfer of this is pretty gorgeous.
