Pretty sure Super Dave is the Evel Knievel of Canada.

Super Dave is a comedian (and one I much loved watching on tv, growing up in Canada).

This guy was an actual daredevil doing the actual dumb stuff Super Dave parodied (though on a (usually) far smaller budget, what with most cars getting wrecked after between 1-3 jumps.

This actually was aired on TV in Australia in the early 90s as a special presentation by a comedy program called "The Late Show". Consequently it is seared into the brains of many Australians around my age that had never seen anything like it before.
