Not much and all you need to do is look in a mirror for who is to blame. Get use to it. Quickly you're becoming obsolete and you feel threatened. I would want nothing less.

These men have NO shame whatsoever. I would rather die than appear on camera talking about what a pervert I am.

Women like to think of themselves as irisistle I have as much desire for Women as I do for a Trash can

SolRo - 2019-01-09

Finding it odd that decades after women overcame (rimshot) (...secondary rimshot) the stigma of female masturbation being okay, some of them need to shame male masturbation practices.

Just as long ago some men thought women should not have sexual gratification without their own penis being involved now some women seem to think their vaginas should be the gatekeepers of male sexual gratification.

TLDR; what people of any sex do behind closed doors with a piece of silicone (with optional motorization) is none of anyone's business.

Hazelnut - 2019-01-09

I agree with SolRo, though only because he was careful to say "SOME women" -- that's obviously an important distinction, since I'm guessing it's a relatively small minority.

Long story short, everyone should be able to get their rocks off, as long as no one is actually hurt.

Sure, you say that now...

Funny thing, like three days ago I was watching a video about this very self same exact topic and the crux of the gist was that you know, women using dildos doesn't send men all into a tizzy about a war on men and such. And these self same companies that make female sex dolls also make men dolls but there is a distinct absence of hues and cries regarding that.

The conclusion being women are pissed about maybe losing some power. And when you think about it the contemplation of this conclusion seem unavoidable given the male sex dolls and dildos and vibrators and sybians not seeming to cause men to be objectified.

Mister Yuck - 2019-01-09

You find me some video of ladies talking about their sex dolls and I'll gladly laugh at it. I don't think an anamatronic puppet, the cost of a car, that guys are talking about falling in love with, is really comparable to a vibrator.

TeenerTot - 2019-01-09

Sorry, I agree with Yuck here. There is a difference between using a toy vagina for sex and building a toy woman to indulge your desire to control a "person." I can't imagine it's super socially healthy for the guy, either.

Hazelnut - 2019-01-09

I see where you're coming from, but I'm afraid I'm going to disagree with you both, on two points:

"The cost of a car": New technologies like this always have an early phase with enthusiasts paying way too much money for primitive results. Personal computers went through the same thing. Robotics are getting cheaper and better amazingly fast.

"Can't imagine it's super socially healthy": They say the same thing about violent video games. I don't buy it. If you're enjoying a fantasy and no actual living being is hurt, then no harm no foul. I do not think enjoying a given IMAGINARY activity makes you more likely to pursue it in real life -- maybe the opposite.

Meerkat - 2019-01-09

"Socially unhealthy" / "Will Lead to Human Extinction" is a popular bugaboo as well. You can't have a real relationship with a doll any more than you can have one with your fridge or your car. Unless you are fucked in the head and in that case maybe it's for the best to have you out of the dating pool.

If people avoid relationships with real human women then maybe it's because those relationships are not fulfilling. Maybe they have heard "you just haven't met the right person" one too many times. Maybe they have chosen not to have kids, maybe they are creepy introverted loners who would rather not deal with all the fucking drama and constant demands for attention from controlling women, SARAH. Maybe they don't want to always have to eat chicken because one of them is allergic to seafood, SARAH.

Uh ... anyway yeah I was just saying about this other video, the guy makes some good points without being all misogynistic and shit. I should probably submit it but I'm a lazy fuck. And not everyone who avoids relationships wants or needs some artificial substitute that they have to lock up in a basement closet when their relatives visit. They just want to be left the hell alone.

SolRo - 2019-01-09

I’d argue that real women would be better off if a lot of the unhinged domineering/abusive disfunctional men out there just ended up quietly abusing an inatimate object instead of a living person

Hazelnut - 2019-01-09

Hey, maybe if the incels all receive sexbots they'll relax and get out of politics.

Nominal - 2019-01-09

Inceeeeeeels! *dean shakes fist*

Meerkat - 2019-01-09

Fuck the incels, they'll find something else to bitch and moan about. They're nothing but losers and quitters. There are plenty of single women out there if they took the time to look and if they really wanted someone they would keep trying.

Incels are just lookist/weightist douchenozzles that think they deserve a hot chick for the effort they put into being born. They don't understand what a relationship is and they don't deserve one.

But enough about me!

Mister Yuck - 2019-01-09

So, uh, there's a lot here to respond to but I'm gonna start with something Hazelnut said about violent video games. Do you realize that the hand-wringers were right about violent video games back in the nineties? They're a big reason (not nearly the only reason) why we're in a mass shooting epidemic. Video games repeat a fantasy, over and over; problems are caused by bad guys and the way to solve problems is to shoot bad guys in the face. It's not just video games, a hell of a lot of movies and comic books are based on this fantasy too. In fact, a hell of a lot of American culture is based on this fantasy. But video games are a hilariously blatant, super popular example.

Which kinda segues into your second point, about fantasies not hurting people. Fantasies hurt people all the damn time. Your fantasy life affects the way you conduct yourself in the real world. If your fantasy is that shooting bad guys is the way to solve life's problems, when confronted with a problem in real life, you may well think shooting bad guys is the way to solve it. You may think that will make you a hero! You may end up shooting a bunch of sorority girls, or turban wearing guys, or a black kid because of your fantasy.

Let's take another tangent before we return to the topic at hand. What makes someone creepy? My theory is that 'creepy' is a feeling you have when you're pretty sure that someone is dangerous but you can't quite express how. I might not accept a ride from a stranger because an odor from his car, his disheveled hair, or his mannerisms signal to me something is off about him, and the creepy feeling I get signals danger.

Guys with sex dolls are creepy. That's the reason they're taboo and vibrators aren't. But following my theory here, what could be dangerous about a guy masturbating? That comes from the implicit fantasy behind a sex doll, the fantasy of owning a woman. A guy with a sex doll is saying to the world that his use for women is extremely narrow. He'd prefer a crappy simulacrum to a person who could refuse him sex, had its own needs, could leave his basement, whatever. That is a guy who, given some real power, might damn well treat women like slaves. In other words, an extremely dangerous thus extremely creepy fantasy.

Mister Yuck - 2019-01-09

Also, sorry about Sarah, Meerkat. Don't take anything I wrote as any kind of attack on you, or calling you creepy. I'm also taking some time alone after a difficult relationship, nothing wrong with that, except that it sucks and I hate it.

Meerkat - 2019-01-09

Meh, you get used to it. Being single isn't fatal and really the bigger issue is how much emphasis society puts on being in a relationship as a form of validation. If you don't have a significant other then it's because there's something wrong with you, not because you're just happy doing your own little thing. Once you accept that being single isn't some sort of failure on your part, you can just enjoy it.

But really you can't blame video games for mass shootings. The Daily Show just had a couple segments illustrating this: in Switzerland gun ownership is huge, they have events where they drink beer and shoot guns. They almost certainly play video games. Yet no mass shootings. There are other examples. I live in the murder capital of Canada and I'm more concerned that someone is going to pull a knife on me than a gun.

The problem is American culture, not video games. Not guns. And no I'm not a fan of guns, I think the only people that should have guns are soldiers. But the evidence doesn't support gun ownership being the problem.

Similarly there is probably a high correlation between owning a sex doll and being creepy as fuck. Seriously, that's a ton of cash to shell out and a lot of inconvenience to get your rocks off when you can just buy some hand lotion for 5 bucks and achieve the same result. But correlation is not causation and creepy fucks would just find some other outlet.

(p.s. there is no Sarah, all my ex-girlfriends were lovely people who I didn't deserve at the time and probably still wouldn't deserve now to be honest)

Mister Yuck - 2019-01-09

Well, if the problem is American culture, maybe it's those video games Americans make and play? As an expression and reflection of our culture?

SolRo - 2019-01-09

American culture is one of toxic masculinity, individual supremacy and fucking over each other to achieve the former.

It should surprise absolutely no one that this causes people to snap and carry out suicidal murder sprees.

Meerkat - 2019-01-09

Plus American gun culture is a totally different thing than just gun ownership. The gun ownership isn't so much the problem as the gun culture around it, in America specifically.

If we can somehow shift the culture so that sex doll ownership replaces gun ownership then maybe there will be fewer mass shootings (of the gun sort at least).

You could buy used sex dolls at doll shows without a background health check.

"You'll have to pry my sex doll off my cold dead cock!"

Hazelnut - 2019-01-10

Sorry Mister Yuck, but overall violence is down massively since the 80s, even though video games are far more violent. You're simply wrong.

Nominal - 2024-01-08

It really is amazing to see a generation swearing they were smarter than the preceding one, then go on to repeat all their dumb moral panic mistakes.

All the mocking of Boomers for the 80s Satanic panic, and here we are with the exact same Chick Tract logic turned to video games.

kingofthenothing - 2019-01-09

I wasn't going to watch this whole thing, but I feel like

A. of course sexbot companies are going to market things to their obvious most likely customers

B. please don't give the incels and MGTOW more camera time

C. women really don't want to be fucking those assholes anyway, so there's no big loss if those guys fuck a robot instead

D. pop culture be like that sometimes

E. the real war on women has nothing to do with male masturbatory aids

Nominal - 2019-01-09

We finally have the Reefer Madness of real dolls.

This video will go on to become the reason that the Federation banned holodeck sex programs.

SolRo - 2019-01-09

We all know the real reason that holodeck sex programs will be banned is because in an utopian communist society no one will make their life goal cleaning sex juices out of holo-emitters

garcet71283 - 2019-01-09

I’ve been around on the Internet...I’m sure someone will...

garcet71283 - 2019-01-09

Also, if you use the toilet on the holodeck, when the program ends does your poop just fall to the floor?

Hazelnut - 2019-01-10

Surely the technology to make a holodeck self-cleaning is trivial compared to the tech challenge of making a working holodeck in the first place.

Nominal - 2024-01-08

Wouldn't cleaning in the TNG universe simply be a matter of locking onto waste and beaming it into a state of energy?

I imagine that's why you never see a toilet. Beam it out straight from the colon. Never bother your butthole again!

jfcaron_ca - 2024-01-08

At some point they mention that the floor is self-cleaning or something. Maybe in that episode with the space Irish that live in a cargo bay? Yes I assume it's micro-transporter beams that take away the dirt. Seems like a plot device for a Lower Decks episode.
