See, I think what happens is that the 'it' person has to break one of the opposition out of the ring of linked hands and then escape back across the line before he is erotically grappled...All while holding his breath (they have to keep yelling out 'Kabaddi' to show that they are holding their breath).
Apparently they take this sport so seriously in India and Bangladesh, that fights frequently break out amongst the spectators.
