I'm glad the laughtrack was there to tell me where the funny parts were.
So it's two gay guys reciting tough guy Taxi Driver lines? That is the joke?

Jeff Fries - 2008-06-14 It's more complicated than that, it has to do with gay men's personalities, tastes, and tendencies. I deal with them frequently in my job, and while they are stereotyped as being silly and/or gregarious, they can actually be quite severe, much like the couple in this clip.
To put it simply if insensitively, the idea this scene is describing is how gay men have feminine tendencies, but being male they can enforce these tendencies with a threatening maleness, which is ironic and funny.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-06-14 It's rather telling that this is the only response Seinfeld fans can think of to someone not liking their stupid show.
|
futurebot - 2008-06-15 I enjoyed Seinfeld because it explored the foibles of 90s American culture in a way that no other show did, often with great insight and wit. I suspect the differing receptions of the show reflects differing cultures and tastes, and I'm rather surprised that Caminante Nocturno wouldn't get this because ANIME

I dig the show, but every short scene you could find on youtube and toss up requires too much context. Episodes were funny for the sum of their parts, not so much one scene by itself.
With that said: I hope POE has the Frogger crossing the street scene.

Honestly I can't stand watching this show anymore. But in bite-size clips it's gold.

It would be funnier if he used a fire extinguisher to crush their skulls.

the world is divided among those who love seinfeld and who hate seinfeld. i have a feeling the haters are also the kids who were not allowed to watch the simpsons as children when it was at its peak.
|
erratic - 2008-06-14 I was not allowed to watch the simpsons at its peak but I love seinfeld (at least this show, his stand up doesn't do it for me) AND the first 10 seasons of the simpsons. I don't know what this all means, but there ya go
