I wasn't afraid of going to the dentist before.

Their kids really really really resent the hell out of them, and you can tell.
On the other hand, if you are an eight year old? That's the coolest dentist office ever.

What is it about Star Trek that does this to people?
Someone, please tell me.

Nikon - 2009-02-27 Star Trek presents a very appealing dream.
Within the reality of Star Trek (for the most part), people respect each other even if they are different and agree to work together.
Because of their advanced technology, no longer do hunger,
famine, plagues, or disease exist.
There is no want nor need, and people no longer spend their lives trying to make a buck. People live comfortably. Through use of the Holodeck, you can do anything (or anyone) you want when you want to.
It's an unrealistic, even impossible dream, but it's one a lot of nerds find very attractive.

Disco ball. R2D2. Glass wall blocks. Red emergency gyro light. Retards.
This video is perfect.

"We were just in the sci-fi store one day, Shelly and I, and we kinda looked at each other and said 'Hey! You thinking what I'm thinking?'"
She was thinking "Star Trek themed dental office"
He was thinking "Anal"
There really are no clear winners here.
