Camonk - 2009-11-06
Not only was this whole bit a sick burn on Glenn Beck, it completely obviated the need for Colbert.

Keefu - 2009-11-06 good lord shut up
|
RomancingTrain - 2009-11-06 If Colbert had to imitate Glenn Beck every day he would've had a Dave Chappellesque break down after 2 seasons.

I'd love to see Beck's response to this.

dementomstie - 2009-11-06
This was one of the best things I've seen The Daily Show do in its entire run. Or is it "It's entire run"? Damn it. I hate apostrophe s!

Tobster - 2009-11-06 yes, but that is according to American punctuation rules, I'm Canadian and tend to follow British punctuation rules, which place commas and periods outside the quotation marks, unless the period or comma is part of the quotation.

I thought so.
I actually don't understand why we do it differently. British style seems to be intuitive, but I'm stuck with habit.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-11-07 Ugh, not a reply. If you really wanted one...the wiki says it had to do with typesetter's tradition (to save space). But other countries have had movable type for a little while now, so I'm not sure how much I believe that.
Also, the PC liberal left wants it that way, and they get the activist judges to enforce their will.

This was amazing.

I don't think Glenn Beck is a professional comedian so much as a professional retard. Kind of like Chris-chan, except that he doesn't perform without people paying him.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2009-11-06
How was anyone able to see this? All I see is a gray box.

For the fellow Canucks: http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/#clip230565
And I totally agree, this is one of the best things that ever came out of the Daily Show. Such a perfect send-up, all the right notes exaggerated to just the right degree. The final line is perfection (I won't spoil)
|
|
Dicknuts - 2009-11-06 Apparently Kansans can't view it either. All I get is a gray box, and the Canada link don't work for me. I guess that's what we get for being so lame.

Fortunately I DVR'd this, so I can watch it again and again.

Longshot- - 2009-11-06
Brilliant!
|
MaulLove - 2009-11-06
Perfect portrayal of Beck's histrionics. I'm in awe of Stewart's acting skills now.
|
|
Nikon - 2009-11-06
Brilliant. The only way he could be more like Glenn Beck is to travel back in time to 1990 and then rape/murder a young girl.

"I just love (put something here) so much..., and I fear for it."
NOW YOU TOO CAN DO A FIVE SECOND GLENN BECK IMPERSONATION!
