Adham Nu'man - 2010-03-02 Most of the videos I've seen on Poetv about Tourette's paint a troubled yet warm-hearted picture of the illness. I remember a website on poe proper that featured poetry written by children with Tourette's that was really really depressing.
Hopefully it just means that as they grow older they get to learn how to cope with it and live a fulfilling and humorous if quite complex life.

I was quite bummed out today. Yesterday I lost a pendant that was the only reminder of someone gone and today I had a depressing conversation with a friend about his father's Alzheimer's. I was feeling very negative about life's outlook for fucked up, nice people.
Then I logged onto poetv and watched the EBM video and this, and it made me feel better. Not that the future holds a bright reward for the basket cases and the human debris they leave behind. But rather, to just enjoy the little bursts of energy and humor and peace of mind that come up from time to time.
Anyway, tonight I was glad to check in here before going to bed.
