Not as awesome has how old man coal miner found out how The Stuff was edible but King delivered it with an astoundingly Greg Brady tone.

In some book or interview King related the story of how after the FX people had cast his tongue and built the prosthetic, he put it on and drove to a nearby mall and when salespeople approached him he'd stick out his tongue all "BLEAAHHRG!" causing screams and chaos. Police were called and he was banned from the mall but says it was 100% worth it.
