I love you Chris Matthews.
Cena_mark - 2011-01-27 Is he your new hero now that Olberwoman is leaving? The guy uses the same tactics that O'reilly uses, which you find so despicable. You hypocrites only like it because he's on your side.

Chalkdust - 2011-01-27 mee moo mah mo meep moop muh mah moo
Innocent Bystander - 2011-01-27 So if even you can see that O'Reilly is a complete bag of shit, why are you always sticking up for him and his ilk?
baleen - 2011-01-27
Cena, remember when you cried on webcam?
Cena_mark - 2011-01-27 Innocent Bystander: I've admitted before that Oreilly was a dick. When I stand up for him its because I might agree with him on a particular issue. Other times I stick up for him because he often gets torn apart in "OMG FAUX NEWS" rage. The anti Fox News rhetoric is mostly petty bullshit that must be challenged.
Memedumpster: I didn't mean to make it or Mathews seem cool. Fortunately he's on CNN, thus nobody watches his nonsense.
Baleen: Yes I remember crying on webcam, but that was tears of passion. I feared for America under Democrat hands. However I am now very confident in America's stability in the liberlest of storms.

I'm really tired of people looking at the founding fathers as some form of moral paragon and, in cases like this, people who make up history when the textbook history doesn't suit the agenda of that month.
Also, Sal's nervous Tommy Wiseau laugh.
StanleyPain - 2011-01-26 And yet, the irony is that with all their flaws, the founding fathers STILL had more intelligence, insight, and moral fiber than any of the tea party douchetards.
simon666 - 2011-01-26 "Well, hahh-hahh, some kind of slavery ended after the Civil War."
Aoi - 2011-01-26 Translation: "But we got DEBT SLAVERY instead!"
Cena_mark - 2011-01-27 StanlyLAME: That's the point. We libertarians don't think the founding fathers were perfect, but they sure as hell are better than Pelosi and Obama.
This Sal guy as are most Tea partiers. I however would destroy Chris Matthews.

Mother_Puncher - 2011-01-27 Why do idiots who are terrified of making their own decisions always look to dead people as a moral compass? Is it because those people can't be attacked? Because their message and ideas can be interpreted in whatever way the reader wants it to say? Or is it because you have a false sense of pride carrying on the work of men that have no relevance today? The Tea Party wants people to treat the founding fathers like Gods when they were far from it. Why can't these people adapt to modern times instead of trying to put a drum and penny whistle in our silversmith hands, Johnny Tremain? Instead of worshipping those dead people, why not take their core values of freedom and progress? Why does it have to be the symbolism and idoltry over action or thought? Nothing the Tea Party is doing is about freedom. They say smaller government but whine when gay marriage or abortion is brought up and want goverment intervention to stop it. I'm not a liberal, I don't like Chris Matthews or care for Obama but I'm above and beyond tired of a bunch of old, racist cadavers and privileged douchebag mouthbreathers dragging their feet and holding their breathe when it comes to social change and then trying to pull our society back to the colonial days so they can be more open about their closet revolution LARPing hobby.
Looking at you, Cena mark.
Cena_mark - 2011-01-27 Muncher_Puncher, I think you've answered your own question. History is better than reality. Or at least before liberal historians started saying that Columbus was a murderer, Washington didn't really cut down a cherry tree, and that Lincoln wasn't that honest.
But anyways, why not take pride in our heritage and our nation's founders? If our polititians were to behave to those standards they'd be far better than they are now.
And it is the core values were after, but giving the values a face gives them more power.
And why do you say "looking at you mark" I'm socially liberal,
Tiawan Softshoe, I never said that. But I hope Republicans do hold them to more libertarian standards.
Mother_Puncher - 2011-01-27 Well here to be totally fair to certain right wing pundits: You know who else took pride in their heritage? Hitler. History: Nazis.
I'm saying there is no point in it. Everything is changing. The past doesn't explain who we are or where we are going. The actions a nation takes in the present matters more than how dead people lived. If you want to live in a fantasy world then by all means do. Just don't drag it into politics where the lives of millions are are stake.

I love how these Tea Party wingnuts like to namedrop the founding fathers at every turn. Read some of Jefferson's writings (they are Biblical in volume) and you will see he is about as liberal as they come.

simon666 - 2011-01-26 He made some progress in hittin' dat ass!
Cena_mark - 2011-01-27 Jefferson would be Libertarian. He'd want a smaller government, but would be liberal in social issues like the question of gays in the military. And of course he'd be down with the NRA.
I might be the reincarnation of Jefferson.

Cena_mark - 2011-01-27 I'm not fat, I'm not clumsy and I don't work for the Coast Guard, I'm in the Coast Guard. People who work FOR the Coast Guard are Civillians and the Navy.

MongoMcMichael - 2011-01-28 "Not fat": We've seen your videos.
"Not clumsy": You can't even cut yourself right.

Other than Michelle Bachmann, I don't think anyone gives John Quincy Adams enough credit for not resting until slavery was extinguished.
Or for being a founding father, apparently.
(Wasn't John Q. a totally despised president based on his nepotism? Wasn't there another president that was totally despised and in large part based on his nepotism? Fuck, wasn't he known by his dad's first name and a unique middle initial also???)

spikestoyiu - 2011-01-28 Clearly some of you have not learned anything from "Attack of the 50-Foot Eyesores", Simspsons' Treehouse of Horror VI. The way you deal with both enormous, ionically animated spokesthings is to ignore them, often with the help of Paul Anka. This strategy also works extremely well with trolls like Cena_mark. There is zero point in engaging him as he is not real and will not listen to you, no matter how much sense you make or how hilariously you phrase your point.
