Oh for fuck's sake, that's not what "literally" means, it...
*watches video*
I stand corrected: that is the correct usage of "literally". Huh. The President of the United States actually did that. Well then.

SolRo - 2017-07-28
And he's this unstable -before- the impeachment hearings!
Guessing in the republican congress inciting violence isn't a crime, to no one's surprise.

It doesn't help that they all look like Maniac Cop.
|
Old_Zircon - 2017-07-28 Except for the one on the right who looks kind of like Ted Cruz cosplaying as Undertaker.
|
SolRo - 2017-07-28 It doesn't help that they all cheer and clap like they're hoping to join his Gestapo.

Is there any video of him where he's not puckering up in the preload?
|
Old_Zircon - 2017-07-28 A face like a rectal prolapse and a personality to match.
|
il fiore bel - 2017-07-29 It would be nice if all narcissists were as ugly on the outside as they are on the inside.

All of us went from dark humor to straight up gallows humor. Christ, the future is looking bleak as fuck.

"But she didn't make me like her!"
If you did anything on Election Day other than vote for Hillary, you have a hand in this. You knew what Trump was about, but you didn't stand against him. Take a bow.
|
|
Bort - 2017-07-29 Oh these revolutionaries and their great principled leaders. Jill Stein meeting with Russian officials may actually have been perfectly innocent on her part, but it speaks to how little she understands about anything. And guess what's happening in Vermont?
https://vtdigger.org/2017/05/04/burlington-college-donor-says- never-signed-pledge/
Now, Jane Sanders' apparent crookedness does not reflect directly on Bernie. But you can bet the Republicans would have dragged him down over Jane, unless he was some sort of virtuoso of scandal-management. How's he doing so far?
http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/story/news/2017/06/28/sande rs-calls-investigation-wife-pathetic/436444001/
Burlington College was doing better than ever when Jane left? Oh Bernie, you're so bad at dealing with anything other than fawning admiration.
|
Old_Zircon - 2017-07-29 Jesus, Bort, I've known WTC truthers less monomaniacal about it than you are about Burlington College.
I promise you I'm being sincere when I say that it's actually kind of worrying.
|
Bort - 2017-07-29 Here we have someone who ran a college into the ground through probable bank fraud and got a hefty golden parachute for her troubles. What is the correct response to that? Consult your BernieBot source code and you will see the answer as clear as day: the bank fraudster should be prosecuted without mercy, and we should assume that her Establishment senator husband (in Washington since 1991) was in on the deal somehow.
... that IS straight out of the BernieBot playbook, isn't it? At least I, as a much better programmed HillaryBot, can honestly say that I don't think Bernie was part of it and I wouldn't accuse him of wrongdoing until I saw something directly related to his service as a senator or a presidential candidate.
In other news, questionable doings surrounding the media firm Sanders funneled millions of dollars through:
https://vtdigger.org/2016/07/15/sanders-campaign-millions-go-t o-mystery-firm/
https://vtdigger.org/2016/08/18/don-keelan-best-legal-form-sip honing/
What a remarkable coincidence that Sanders used a media firm that seems ideally positioned to funnel campaign dollars into the pockets of people in his immediate circle. Those $27 donations weren't for naught, kids!

And fuck these cops for applauding. Right wing shitheads. The police unions all rabidly supported Trump for this very reason.

Violence against law-abiding citizens who say things you don't like:
Acceptable
Violence against criminals resisting arrest:
Unacceptable
Stay classy PoETV.

|
SolRo - 2017-07-29 It's against the law to spout Nazi propaganda and genocide dog whistles (in sane countries)
|
|
15th - 2017-07-29 The binary victim or oppressor worldview is picking up steam due to its reductive laziness - an ideological hot ticket item. A big plus is that 'justified' hate and violence is built right in.
Violence against assholes:
Unacceptable.
Police brutality:
Unacceptable.
But, I'm a liberal though. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.
|
Old_Zircon - 2017-07-30 Binary worldviews get clicks.
|
Old_Zircon - 2017-07-30 Also, the president of the united states openly calling for police to be more physically rough on civilian citizens is absolutely, exactly equivalent to a few people on a web site nobody cares about expressing amusement over someone punching a neonazi at a public protest.
Totally the same thing.
|
15th - 2017-07-30 Definetly not equivalent. Personally, I've probably taken people's shit-posting too seriously. I kind of assume whatever people type is what they are philosophically committed to. Which sounds ridiculous, having said that. It is the Internet.
|
Old_Zircon - 2017-07-30 Yeah, that was not aimed at you at all 15th, I guess that wasn't really clear contextually.
|
15th - 2017-07-30 I didn't think so, but it's always useful for me to be reminded to put these kind of things into perspective.
Due to some weird geographical and life circumstances - I'm pretty isolated from all my old running buds. So, bs-in' on PoeTv has been especially great this last year. But, you guys don't get any of my surprise 12 packs or help cleaning out your garages. Just opinions and jokes. I hope the latter out-weighs any preachy-ness of the former.
I mean, nothing is going to change. But, it's good to remind myself.
