I saw an instruction guide for one of these instruments in a thrift shop today and was wondering what it was called. Then I come across this video in the hopper.

kwash Actually, Korea, Japan, and China all have a variation on this instrument. This is the Gayageum, the Korean version, which is different than the other two, as it is played with bare fingertips, not a pick or fake nails.
