There was an article in the most recent Smithsonian magazine about the men who invented extreme pogo sticks. Apparently, the forces involved in an adult doing these tricks are more than a standard toy pogo stick can handle. It was a fascinating article. One of the guys severed his lip testing a design when it broke on him.
