I wasn't born here.

But I have a high school diploma from here.

Konversekid - 2013-03-18

Too be honest though, kids on drugs are hilarious.

MyNameIsUnimportant - 2013-03-18

Is there a difference between high two-year-old behavior and non-high two-year-old behavior?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-03-18

I'm of mixed views on the "centralia" tag. There are a dozen Centralias in the U.S., the most famous of which is the Pennsylvania ghost town.

Anyway, for those who want to know, this is Centralia, Washington.

Callamon - 2013-03-19

Yeah but every one of them is a smoking hell hole.

EvilHomer - 2013-03-18

God damn nanny state.

Old_Zircon - 2013-03-18

Without a hint of irony I can say what she did is far less offensive than taking a kid to McDonalds.

Old_Zircon - 2013-03-18

I'm sure she's done plenty of that too, though.

Hooker - 2013-03-18

Yeah, I started asking a lot of internal questions. Would she be arrested if she gave him a beer? A cigarette? A cup of coffee? Do I think she should hide her pot use from her kid? Or try to teach him that illegal drugs are wrong? Would smacking the child even get a visit from child services?

memedumpster - 2013-03-18

Putting smoke of any kind in kid lungs seems like a bad idea. Those things aren't even cured yet.

The Mothership - 2013-03-18

a sip of beer or a taste of wine for a kid is one thing, but smoke of any kind is something you probably want to avoid. I agree that this isn't that offensive but it shows a distinct lack of judgment.

Centralia is a heavily Mormon town and the only really hefty outpost of the Tea Party west of the Cascades. I am personally enormously fucked up due to their warped sense of priorities, as I had to live under the tyranny of their Board of Education.

I was informed, about five years out of school, that I had been placed on a "Columbine Watch List", largely due to my father being a loud and vocal Baptist rather than a loud and vocal Mormon.

"PARENTING!" tag is desperately needed.

First thing I thought when they showed the courtroom footage.

Father Avalanche - 2013-03-18

Ha! Me too.

cognitivedissonance - 2013-03-18

Centralia has a looooooooooooooooooooooot of Juggaloes, and a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot of meth.

Prickly Pete - 2013-03-19

If they were Juggalos then that would be the focal point of the story...

joelkazoo - 2013-03-18

Marijuana makes your face blurry.

Riskbreaker - 2013-03-18

Of course they had to film the whole thing.

Gmork - 2013-03-18

Ill be the first to stick up for cannabis related issues, but there's nothing to defend here. This is a bad parent being a bad parent. It's not the end of the world for the kid, but it's shitty parenting. Don't bring your kids into your substance abuse circle.

Blue - 2013-03-18

I agree. I don't think kids should be doing drugs. That's not at any way at odds with legalization. The current policy is such that kids in school have much better access to drugs than responsible adults do.

DriverStabby - 2013-03-18

I was just in Centralia last week. This is pretty much what I'd expect. Five for evil.

That guy - 2013-03-18

I heard CNN is about to cover this tragedy.......

Louddetective - 2013-03-19

Utterly unsurprising, because: Centralia. Oof. Five for evil.
