18-year-old me LOVED this song.
No kidding, blew my mind. The White Room was one of the first albums I bought, still listen to it.
It's still great
I think The White Room was the first CD I ever purchased.
Y'know what? I STILL love this song.
The KLF keep getting better and better.
I remember finding a White Room cassette in Goodwill as a kid and it was one of the best purchases I made.
Cool, but it's no "Doctorin' the TARDIS."
I bought my brother the cassette single for xmas that year.
Doctorin' the TARDIS was probably the most subversive pop song of the 80s. So subversive most people had no idea.
I never really got KLF. Just like I didn't get PIL or ATR. You name it, if it was a three-letter abbreviation in the 90s, I probably didn't get it.
Woah! You're right! There's something about the song "Do Me Baby" that speaks to me. Can't put my finger on what it is though..
Actually Witcheta Lineman, I think I get that song :)
They're no BNL.
KLF are 100% an exercise in trolling the music industry by using the music industry to make a mockery of the music industry. They just incidentally did some pretty great music.
they burnt a bunch of money as a statement or probably for fun.
Cauty and Drummond are geniuses.
If you have never read The Manual, I suggest you do so now.
