A part of me wants to live in a post apocalypse. Like, I don't want to see a whole bunch of people die or anything, but just sort of a Snake Plisskin "reset" of civilization and technology as we know it. Like, would I mind it? The only website I use is this one, so I'd miss that, but I don't drive or watch TV, and my job itself doesn't require computers. And the service industry would get along too; it's not like you work at a fancy restaurant and suddenly forget your culinary skills, bars would still exist.. I dunno. I'd just be interested to see what portion of the population decides to treat it like Mad Max and how many of us just go "meh.. it's just like the 90s when I didn't have a cellphone or the internet."

I suspect the post-apocalypse is going to kick ass. Having a lot fewer people in the world will solve a lot of modernity's nagging problems. Plus, the survivors will get to divide up all the dead people's land and stuff! But I suspect I'll never see the post-apocalypse either because the apocalypse itself will be a centuries long grinding horror punctuated by massive crises or because my useless suburban ass will be among the first to starve when we have to decide who's going to get rations and who's not worth feeding anymore.

Anyway, this movie looks good. I wonder if Netflix has it...

I plan on putting my brain into a robot body when the apocalypse happens.

A robot shaped like a ten year-old anime girl, I suspect.

For my part, I intend on going full Tetsuo.

A robot body with D-Cups full of Justice.

Those shields wouldn't work in real life.

That wasn't meant to be a reply. Whoops.

For entertainment we'd sit around the fire. Someone would get up and do something dumb for six seconds. Then we'd all berate him or debate the legal implications of "free speech" or watch JHM and That Guy slap each other.

It's a great one. I have 2 copies on VHS. I wish I had 3

I have a buddy from high school who bought 50 copies of "Combat Shock" on VHS. I think they were deadstock, bought for each.

He's given his older sister a copy for her birthday and Christmas every year for 15 years straight.

haha! That's amazing!
