More than any other company Nintendo has always had the biggest heart to me. A lot of people don't think about this but the Wii is a great system for those with CP or other conditions that can't play a regular game like everybody else can. I don't know if that was part of their strategy or not: we couldn't have a nintendo growing up mostly because of the gun.
So for a while Nintendo was vilified if I recall. My across the street neighbor got nightmares because of Zelda too. But now, people can play bowling despite their disability and that's a lot better than Xbox. I was trying to explain over the phone to my mom how to get on netflix and I said that "it's easier than flying a drong" and fuck if that's not true, since Microsoft outsourced their shit to the US government. It's just not fun is all. Nintendo is helping people while Microsoft is potentially training young drone pilots to fight our wars from overseas.
I'm actually gonna see if I can get a ride up to Redmond tomorrow and put flowers outside of Nintendo's American Headquarters. I'm kinda posted with a broken foot, so I can't play pinball or obviously Dance Dance Revolution, two of my favorite things to do. CP's a lot different but Nintendo helped with that, even if they might have not realized it.
There's a Gamecenter CX I was going to submit with him as a guest, but it was already submitted and didn't make it out of the hopper (PSH!). But it's on Youtube and him and Arino play Balloon Fight (which he programmed).
You can resubmit a previously submitted YouTube url by submitting http://youtu.be/(video's unique code from URL). If that doesn't work, try the usual URL but with https instead of http or vice versa.
CFC I always gague everyone's age on whether they were born before or after nintendo came out. My lil' bro was 85 which is when I think it came out in North America. The birth of Nintendo surely means a lot more to me than the birth of Jesus Christ.
Iwata also saved Earthbound by developing the entire scripting language that the game uses back before he was President of Nintendo. The guy was amazing.
