Ah, here we go, more fodder in my Canine canon! Looks good, with more animation than the usual talking Dog movie.

Well, it'll do until the next Buddies movie or Pup Star 3 comes out.

Boomer, have you seen Karate Dog, starring Jon Voight as the villain who wears vaguely asian clothing but has a Foghorn Leghorn accent, with a cameo from Pat Morita, and with Chevy Chase as the voice of the titular Karate Dog? Also starring Simon Rex AKA Dirt Nasty as the good-guy cop who is bad at his job, and Jaime Pressly as the love interest cop

Yes, I have, on TV once at the time it came out, and I have the DVD too. His name is Cho-Cho, which I was debating with a friend if it could be a nickname for Chevy, like something a kid would say, Chevy Chase, Cho-Cho.

I watched with a friend once who couldn't remember the name of the movie later and called it, 'That horrible Briard movie', since Cho-Cho is a Briard breed of Dog.

I love talking Dog movies, with CGI, like a dream I had when younger come true, Dogs talking and becoming actual characters in movies or TV. The early talking I saw was cheap and unrealistic, stop motion and film reversing, and I've seen how they've evolved from those days until now.

I'm glad someone had the courage to make this movie.
