Sky news sucks, but this story is real. And fucking terrible.
Id donate something if i thought i didn't potentially need every fucking penny i have saved just to survive whatever the future holds.

Coronavirus anecdote thread!
From a friend that lives there; police are not investigating or arresting for any non violent crime in Philadelphia at the moment
in my area, the amount of people ignoring social distancing and the simplest control measures is terrifying
Pretty much everywhere. The kids are the worst. I just came in from being out in my backyard with my pets. The housing project apartment 1/2 block away from me seems to be having a block party. Lots of shouting and laughing and carrying on. Neighbour's kid walked by on her way to meet her boyfriend and take him home I guess to make out in the basement or whatever. That was just in the past 5 minutes.
Letter from the Bay Area, CA. People are, for the most part, following the best advice and keeping good 6 foot distance. I've been working from home for the last 2 weeks and the only social interactions I have are on the sidewalk when I go for my daily jog (very sensible people always, practicing social distancing) and on the weekends when my family and I get into the countryside for a hike.
Also, best crazy hoarding story: speaking with a Trader's Joe's employee two weeks ago, before the lock down,
Q: "hey, what's the weirdest thing you've seen today?"
A: "Well, I saw this one dude buying every single package of frozen hash browns that we had in the whole damn store. Didn't want anything else, but he bought us out of frozen hash browns."
Look out for yourself and your loved ones, POETV.
Cop cars just pulled up at the housing project 1/2 block away from me so I guess tonight's block party is off.

Technically, my county is under stay-at-home orders, with the social distancing and such. But it seems most of my neighbors who have kids think its fouth of July at the lake. All the kids are out playing in the street in the afternoons. We've sort of given up on afternoon walks, only taking the dog out in the morning. (Okay, maybe not so virus-related. I just don't like kids.)
