Oh deer.

I've been trying to find out if this is legit NO2. As far as I can tell, maybe. It's a product of some decay reactions. Not sure if it would be concentrated enough for them to get high off it though.

you mean to tell me you aren't going to go out there and huff some dead leaves yourself?

16 year old me in rural PA would have been pretty interested in that.

This is one local news story away from being a minor Jenkem/Beezing style parent panic.

Put locks on your lawn clipping trash can before the kids get at them!

This looks high to me.

Deers are fucking fiends. When I lived in Oregon I had two massive apple trees in the back yard, and they had a lesser appleworm infestation so they dropped hundreds of worthless apples. I just left them to rot on the ground.

Turns out those apples ferment and turn into cider bombs, and it turns out that deer love getting apple drunk.

They'd just pass out, and you could sit down next to them. It got to where I was just expecting a passed out deer in the morning. I started composting the apples when I found cougar scat in my driveway.

Just sounds like you missed out on a free cougar

Honestly I gave it a thought for a second, then realized I'd rather let my dog have a yard and not worry about deer-drunk cougars.

It was a trip because I lived in a city, if you can call Eugene a city. 2 miles from campus, and I've got a cougar that had to trot past a Safeway to get to my yard.
