I tipped teh scales! Some of you know me, I work in VFX and just can't tell you all how thrilled I am that there is a new Twisters movie coming out! Sadly Bill Paxton will not be joining us but Helen Hunt (who is not rotting in her grave) still dodged this bullet, haha but really she is just way too old now of course.
I don't know why I'm writing this except that I just want to express my utter revulsion and encroaching bile at hollywood's inability to commit to anything new and interesting and instead to ham-handedly continue pulling sequels no one wants out of its ass for twenty year-old B Movies and recycling 90's junk that was never good to begin with.

Nice to be back!

I would honestly appreciate remastered VFX re-releases of 90s/2000s shows whose CGI has not aged well

Examples; Babylon 5 and starship troopers

Same here, but the sad truth is that anything TV that was filmed in standard def, 640x480, is probably never going to get any kind of worthy upgrade because it's just really not feasible.

Starship Troopers, on the other hand, had some pretty groundbreaking effects for the bugs, courtesy of Phil Tippett when it came out. I remember being quite in awe of it at the time in fact, got on the cover of Cinefex and everything.
