This is a landmark film. It opened the doors for blatantly obvious product placement in other children's sci-fi films such as Transformers. Also, the Mountain Dew transformer actually has a cameo in this movie. For real. He's eating McDonald's.

This movie ends with the aliens becoming naturalized American citizens. I have decided that this fact warrants a one star rating. So, two stars.
