BITCH, where have you BEEN

I have no trouble believing it plays out like that every time a mother gets a job at McDonald's.

Hey-- honest work is honorable. Yeah, McDonalds isn't the best job of all time, but why look down on the mom for trying to help feed her family?

That thing at the end gets all the stars.

And yes, I now realize the kid said "wow."

Here's to stretching the definition of "job".
That's why it's McJob now.

Innocent Bystander
Tired of doing nothing but cooking food and cleaning your house from day to day? Get a job at McDonalds as a fry cook! (you also have to clean the place after we close)
Lots of moms are finding that they can get work at McDonald's. Lots of moms are wondering why the fuck they went to college.
5'd just for the horrific obese god-warrior ending.
I do so hope she comes to pick me up while still wearing the visor. Thanks, mom.

Mommy what are those burns on your hands?

Those aren't burns honey, they're Chicken McNugget Kisses!

I love you mommy.
The next day the kid gets sick and she's shitcanned for coming in five minutes late after filling his prescription.

Then Frankie Avalon gets a real job to support her and she winds up doing nostalgia tours.

I've never seen the sentiment "well, look at this, asshole!" conveyed so well by putting on a visor before.

I get so depressed when I watch this. Mainly because I envision a painful scenario of what could happen after the fadeout:

KID: That's not a job, mom. And five hours doesn't count for shit with what they pay.

MOM: (Still wearing the visor. Smile vanishes.) Oh... oh, I see. I see! Let's make fun of mom in her stupid hat and McScrubs. You think I did this to IMPRESS you!?!? I'M JUST TRYING TO KEEP FOOD ON THE TABLE YOU.. YOU.. *breaks down and cries*"

Little Joe is going to wind up applying for the same job in a few years and wind up being his mom's boss. Just you wait.
Calamity Jon
There's something about this that implies an ex-husband named Jerry, his nineteen year old girlfriend, their condo in Malibu and a backlog of something like two years' wortth of child support payments ...
This would be more believable if the mom didn't have such good hygiene.
mcdonalds rules. fuck the haters.

don't ever bitch about not being able to find a job. mcdonalds will hire you.
Caminante Nocturno
Always choose death over working at McDonald's.

Wow! You stole a hat!
"Lots of moms are finding out their husbands will let them out of the kitchen and do things with their lives. Even though it isn't much, McDonald's is one of those options. With enough time, these moms may even 'fit in' or 'make friends' and feel like a functioning member of society. We won't tell them they really aren't, will we, Junior?"
