It took me 2 viewings to make sense of it. It's a dark and beautiful love story. But the first time you watch it, you're too busy going "What the hell did I just see?" to follow the plot.

I'm watching a jodorowsky marathon on tv right now, with el Topo, holy mountain, fando and lis(?) maybe more.
Definitely interesting although weird.
El topo is the spiritual father of hokuto no ken.

Wow, I was drunk when I submitted that. It's a great scene from a brilliant movie, but I was just thinking "I just thought of a great scene I never submitted!" and wouldn't ya know it..

"Santa Sangre" is a great movie, watch it, digest, watch it again, digest some more, then read a bit on the metaphors and what Jodorowsky was going for and watch it a 3rd time.. each time is a different awesome experience.

The end always gets me. It's so simple.. love.
