This is actually the polite way of offering your business card in Japan. The video is focusing on the rudeness of the woman--she failed to accept his business card properly.
Indeed, reality is better though. The Japanese are supposed to sit and admire the fucking card stock for 45 minutes.
No, not srsly. In Japan, a business card is seen as an extension of the person themselves. To defile a business card by writing on it, folding it, putting it into a back pocket, etc. is a major taboo.
