Mike Tyson?! - 2008-01-17
Am I going to keep watching it?
Ah fuck it, I have nothing else in my life. Sure.

Cube - 2008-01-17
Well that sure saved me some time.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2008-05-11 And after 8 minutes, it looks like I could care less.
Except the fat dude and the 1-hit-wonder band guy. Those two seem cool.

Yeah this show actually manages to stay good.

Walker - 2008-01-17
This video gives you all the major plot points, but you lose out on a lot of the mystery of the series without watching it in full.
Great show. Looking forward to Season 4.
|
Cube - 2008-01-18 You mean the whole X-filesy "something is going on, but we don't want to waste money or script on actually showing you anything" -crap? That's why I hate watching Lost, even though I like the key points of the script.

Redlof - 2008-01-17
That was actually a really good summary.

Smellvin - 2008-01-17
When is this coming back on?

Nice.

Was this show written by a video game designer? What's with all these puzzles and items just lying around an abandoned science compound.

FABIO2 - 2008-01-17
By my calculations it should only take 33 seconds to cover Cloverfield, which seems way too long.
Also, the guy gives them directions to the balloon to prove his identity, yet gave them the name of the guy whose body (with ID) would be in the balloon?

This is what happens when writers get trapped within their own machinations when a dumb gimmick show remains inexplicably popular

"The hatch blew his clothes off, and now he can see the future."
it's shit like this that makes it impossible for me to stop watching

No explanation of the smoke monster?

|
zerobackup - 2008-01-18
Any possible explanation for plot points this diverse has got to be either brilliant or utter shit. I'm leaning towards number 2. (

RedHood - 2008-01-18
I will 4 star this in respect to all the people who enjoy this show, but I can honestly say I am glad i watched this. It makes me want to not even bother investing time into this show at all. Not my cup of tea.
|
FABIO2 - 2008-01-18 Haven't watched the show, but I've heard that's it's only 5% mystery and 95% boring pre-island flashbacks. Confirm/deny?
|
Walker - 2008-01-18 A lot of time is spent on flashbacks, but they tie directly into the present story and character development.
|
FeeFiFoFoTheFifeFifeBrown - 2008-01-18
Having never watcherd one episode of this show, is it as retarded as this video makes it sound?
|
Walker - 2008-01-18 The video over simplifies everything and injects some humor into it.
The line about Desmond's clothes being blown off and now he can see the future is actually more of a story about him becoming "unstuck in time". So it's not really that he can see the future, but that he's reliving the past with prior knowledge of the future. So I guess it's more like a combination of The Slaughterhouse Five and Groundhog Day. But that takes a lot more time to explain.
Great great show.

Season one of this show was absolutely amazing. I even own it on DVD. Season two was just fucking dumb and made me lose a lot of interest in it. I stopped watching regularly and only caught season three in bits and pieces, but there were some good moments.
I'll probably be watching the premiere on the 31st, in the vain hope that this show will return to form.

Only one thing can save this show now, and it's the writers' strike.

JJ Abrams and Joss Whedon will go down in history of being the most destructive forces to fiction in the 21st century.
