One of my favorite book series, though they get pretty fucking depressing when he becomes an adult.

Yeah, from what I remember of them, it becomes a working class kitchen sink drama and everything goes to hell.

That's amazing! They really encapsulated Britain in the eighties in that one opening titles sequence.
