After watching this entire video, the only thing I took away from it, is that the authorities are fighting against a lot of crime tied to the marijuana growing and smuggling industry, and are determined to go after the marijuana itself, rather than seeing the crimes as individual offenses.
Especially in those towns mentioned in the beginning; places where the citizenry have supported more lax marijuana laws and depend on largely harmless pot farms, certain authorities interviewed vilify the pot rather than the criminal activity perpetrated by a minority of the populace.
If someone stages an armed robbery in a bank, we don't push to make banks illegal. If someone dies while being robbed of a few head of cattle, we don't criminalize the beef industry.
