Stop motion is frequently silly beginner stuff and involves more tedious work than vision and talent. This clip was incredibly creative (in addition to being lots of tedious work). The technique they used is unique in my experience, but even if somebody else is using it, it was sooo well done. The weird music, contrasting background and foreground images, and constant violations of physics and convention was sort of hypnotic.
