A Deleted Scene. I like how they almost got away with tossing that off as if it were a common problem that you would have to chastise your children about.
Comments on YouTube seem to indicate that this still does show up on some syndicated versions.. which makes it odd that it's not better known.

It's like Alice sees those kids nude every day!
... wait a minute...
Maybe I'm just tired after a long day at work. Maybe I'm just not in the right mood. Maybe it's because I'm all alone in my new apartment and the emptiness and isolation is making me bitter. But for some reason... Jesus fuck... that was the creepiest thing I've seen in a long time. I'm going to have nightmares.

Alice was pretty much the creepiest TV character ever.
Rodents of Unusual Size
This is pretty much why she rocks.
The subdued shades of repressed lesbianism. The pseudo maternal aunt-like role where she was like family but not really. The way she makes meatloaf every week because she probably lacks the ability to read, thus is able to not learn new recipes.
Not to mention most roles with the white maid up until this time usually involved mentally unstable psychosis over not bearing her own children. Alice was always one meat cleaver away from infamy.
So what you're saying is, Alice was the last of the indentured servants? Lacking yDNA, in other words. Explains a lot, that.
You're right though. Alice was fucking horrifying, no matter what she did, no matter how she did it. Every word out of her mouth seethed with double-meanings. Even as a wee little kid I knew that if your personal slave was THAT jolly, was THAT happy to run ragged for your every whim, something was off in the equation. I seem to remember in one episode we actually see Alice's room, and there's an ash-tray by her bedside.
An ash-tray by her bedside. I think that sums everything up.

I remember an episode where Peter made friends with a jewish kid but kept it a secret, until his parents caught him with a yamaka in his pocket and he got a lecture about keeping secrets. Then they visited the jews to learn of their strange and ancient customs. It was pretty uncomfortable.
