Oh geez, I remember this show! Not from watching it, but from complaints from friends who worked on it. Apparently Alicia Silverstone had some complaints about the character design for the girl she was voicing. Specifically she thought the jacket she wore looked way too much like a leather jacket, and that wouldn't do at all. She wanted to make sure it was clearly not any sort of animal product.
Then again, she did bring all the animators non-meat, non-dairy snacks at end of production for all their hard work. So I guess it balanced out.

I remember this show, Teletoon used to air it with a fair bit of regularity a few years ago.
I recall another episode where the main character tried to set her gay friend up with a gay interior designer...Without ever once using the word gay.
